Don’t wait until it’s too late

Are you caring for a loved one with early stage dementia? The weight of the responsibility can feel immense.

We all want to do our best for those we love. But trying to manage everything alone can lead to burnout. Taking on the role of an informal carer, without the experience or understanding, can be isolating. It’s easy to feel invisible, and it has a huge impact on your own wellbeing.

This is where finding the right help is crucial. Engaging with others in a social context can actually help to slow down the progression of dementia. At Tapestry Day Club, we focus on providing a service that’s both effective and supportive for everyone involved.

Our unique approach offers a tailored dementia day care service in a safe and intimate home setting, rather than a large, overwhelming community centre. Our small groups of up to six guests enjoy a home-cooked lunch and engaging activities, giving them the chance to build friendships and boost their confidence

This tailored service provides a crucial 5-6 hour break for you, the carer. It’s a day of valuable respite, so you can rest and recharge, knowing your loved one is in a safe, friendly, and stimulating environment. We can even provide transport for those in rural parts of the county, making it even easier to get the support you need.

Support for Carers

Caring for someone with early-stage dementia is a profound act of love and can be very rewarding. But it can also be emotionally and physically draining.
