VOLUNTEER FOR US

Learn new skills and gain valuable work experience by volunteering for us. Along with making friends, it can help connect you to the wider community. At Tapestry Day Club, we are always keen to welcome volunteers to our team. Many of our hosts benefit from the support of a volunteer, not only helping them in the running of the day, but also, critically, with transporting guests to and from hosts.

Day volunteers

You will need your own car or a way of getting to a host’s home. You could volunteer alongside the host, helping by assisting with activities and games or supporting an overly anxious guest. We will arrange an enhanced DBS for you.

 Transport volunteers 

We are always keen to hear from people who would like to help our host’s with transport. Our hosts have space in their cars for three guests but can welcome up to six people to their homes.

So if you are able to pick up a guest or two from their homes in the morning – we operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays – take them to a host’s home and then return guests to their homes at the end of the day, you would make an immense difference to the lives of these guests and their carers.

You will need your own car and we will arrange an enhanced DBS for you. We will of course also cover your mileage costs.

Current volunteering roles required

Transport - Hassocks/Burgess Hill - Thursdays

We are looking for a transport volunteer to help our host in Hassocks.  Currently our host’s car is full and she has guests who can’t join her due to transport challenges.

We are looking for a transport volunteer to help our host in Horsham.  Kate would love help every day  when she hosts – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as she hosts buzzy and active days.  Her car is full and she has guests who can’t join her due to transport challenges.  Please do help if you can.
