“We have two grown-up daughters who both live at home. We also have two doggies. Bertie is a gentle and loving, older golden retriever, while Missie is a lively and sometimes loud, little, young rescue from Romania, who looks like a cross between a golden retriever and a corgi due to her short legs.
“In May 2024, I was elected local district councillor for Capel, Leigh, Newdigate & Charlwood. I enjoy the community work with local people, trying to help sort out things from housing to school transport.
“In the past, I have been a school governor at The Weald Primary School in Beare Green as well as part of the local community groups organising Newdigate’s Village Day and the refurbishing of the village playground. I have also worked as a garden planner for more than a decade and had a part-time job at Knights Plant Centre in Betchworth.
“I am so happy to have found Tapestry Day Club. As soon as I learnt what they did, I felt excited to be part of the team. I love having people in my home and welcoming guests.”
Kirstie supports families from Newdigate, Reigate, west of Crawley and all villages in those surrounding areas.
