“I was at a point in my working life when I wanted a change and to do something that would make a real difference to a person’s life.
“Since starting this job, I realise how isolated some older people are. Seeing the enjoyment they get from a day with us is incredible. Watching the guests gain confidence and interacting with each other gives me so much pleasure. I always look forward to the next week and feel I am making that little bit of difference to their lives.”
Trudi supports families from the east side of Horsham, including Mannings Heath, Pease Pottage, Faygate, Handcross and surrounding villages.
“The hardest part is saying good bye as with dementia there always comes a time when we no longer are the right support. Their needs have increased and greater support is needed. But you know in the time that they have been with you that you have made a difference”
