Capturing the Spirit of Tapestry Day Club

in July, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming a talented group of students from Collyer’s 6th Form College to showcase exactly what makes our approach to dementia day support in West Sussex and Surrey so effective and heartwarming.  Their visit was truly special, as they spent the day with us, capturing the unique atmosphere and the genuine connections within our day clubs.

The students observed and interacted as our guests enjoyed a typical day at Tapestry. They saw first-hand how our carefully chosen hosts create a warm, inviting, and safe family home environment. This familiar setting, far from larger, more overwhelming institutions, helps our guests feel completely at ease and encourages natural social interaction. It’s a space where people living with early stage dementia can truly thrive, engage in stimulating activities, and build meaningful friendships.

The visit from Collyer’s College was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, reinforcing the positive impact of community connections. We’re incredibly proud of the difference Tapestry Day Club makes, not just for our guests, but for their families and carers too.
